You walk away with a working first version, ready for real users.
A real product, not a pitch deck
Zero cost.
Three months of development, fully on us.
A working v1
A first version of your product that people can actually use.
Built by our product team
Your v1 is built by the developers, QA engineers and project managers who work on our client products.
Product design included
We design your v1 as well as build it.
Product and tech guidance
We help you shape the scope, choose the stack and make the calls that matter at the start.
The idea stays yours
You keep full rights to your idea and concept.
A clear path forward
When you're ready to keep building with us, the code becomes yours.
Open to ideas from any industry
You're a good fit if you:
- Have an idea that solves a real problem for a specific group of people
- Are ready to commit your time and stay involved for three months
- Don't need funding or a technical co-founder to apply
Why would a dev company build for free?
Fair question. At Unity Space, we build and scale software products for startups and growing companies, from AI and blockchain to enterprise systems. Foundry 01 is how we meet the founders who'll shape these industries next.
You get a working product. We get a case study we're proud of and the chance to work with founders from day one. If you want to take the product further, we'll keep building it together.
A team that's done this before
Since 2022, our team of ~30 has built custom software across Commercial Real Estate, Crypto & Web3, Sportech & Fitness, Cloud & Infrastructure, Service Marketplaces and Event Tech.
The team behind Foundry 01 is the same team that builds for our clients: full-stack developers, QA engineers and project managers who'll work on your product from the first call to launch.
Round 1 timeline
Questions founders ask
Can't find your answer? Get in touch and we'll get back to you.
01Is it really free?
Yes. The three months of development cost you nothing, and we don't take equity.
02What's the catch?
No hidden catch, just clear terms. The idea and the code are yours. You get the full source code after 90 days, and continuing with us is completely optional. Everything is agreed upfront in a simple agreement.
03Who owns what?
You own both the idea and the code. After 90 days, you get the full source code and can use it however you like. Continuing with us on a paid basis is optional.
04What happens after three months?
You get a working v1 of your product. If you want to keep going, we continue development together on a paid basis, and the code becomes yours. We'll go through all the details with you on a call before the build starts.
05Do I need funding or a registered company?
No. All you need is an idea and the commitment to see it through.
06Do I need a technical co-founder?
No. That's what we're for.
07How much of my time will it take?
You'll act as the product owner, so we need you to stay in touch throughout. Expect two status calls a week and quick feedback on key decisions.
08What's included, and what's not?
Design and development of your v1 are included. Hosting and infrastructure costs, marketing and post-launch support are not.
09How do you choose the projects?
We look at the problem, the market and the founder. We also consider how well the idea fits our team's expertise. Every application gets reviewed.
10I wasn't selected. Can I apply again?
Yes. We run a new round every quarter.
Ready to build? Apply for Foundry 01.
Places in the first round are limited. Applications close on November 30.
